Having

Have you ever had that feeling;
something you have always wanted your whole life
fell onto your lap?

Something so precious
without the feelings disappearing once you held it
unlike things you own that is left on a shelf or a cupboard
forgotten after the want was satisfied.

A wise man once said
"True happiness is... to enjoy the present, without anxious dependence upon the future."
having that something gave true happiness
but it was never mentioned if the present will remain forever.

This future is an unknown variable
a perception of time taught to explain what comes after
a terrifying idea caused by the fear of the unknown
with no knowledge on what will happen to anything, or everything.

With greater value, comes greater loss
we take great care of something based on the fear that we might lose it
we do our best for our own idea of preciousness to remain.

When the moment arrives
when it is destined that you will be parted with that one precious thing
lots of people have tried to put it into words
in books, in poems or in movies.

However detailed it may be
no one else except for you will understand how it felt
how it felt like to have something that you've always wanted your whole life
and have it taken away.
